MEAN WELL, founded in 1982, is one of the few manufacturers worldwide dedicated to standard power supply products. According to a report by Micro Technology released in April 2025, MEAN WELL is ranked 5th among global manufacturers of power supplies (DC output). The top four companies in this sector mainly generate their revenue through ODM/OEM, whereas MEAN WELL derives 99% of its revenue from standard power supplies, following a business strategy centered around its own brand, MEAN WELL.

In the late 1990s, MEAN WELL started taking off the European business. To further serve the European market, MEAN WELL Europe was established in 2006 in Amstelveen, the Netherlands, as Europe's sales and product engineering support centre. Our mission is to provide European customers with localized pre/post-sales support in assisting customers in designing and building products fit for power requirements in their applications. With our 1,200 square meter warehouse space, we aim to supply 75% of goods within 48 hours to offer fast and localized logistic service for direct customers and distribution partners. Our product and technical team offer insight, technical advice, application engineering support, and product modification samples for customized power solutions. Our ultimate goal is to establish long, reliable relationships with our European customers.
